In art, this look of transition between light and dark is called chiaroscuro. The operation for this result is called an extended deep lateral brow and cheek lift. It is accomplished by a limited incision within the hair-bearing scalp. By sculpting along the bone rim of the outer eye and cheek, the tissues in the outer brow are elevated without an unwanted pull on the middlebrow.
